She listened to exactly what I wanted, had great conversation, told me about the history of the salon and overall the vibe was great. As it relates to my hair cut, she was very detailed, took her time but worked efficiently. She ensured each step of the way i was happy. She also talked me through what she was doing beforehand which helped especially being in a new chair after so much time. I can be shy, quiet and anxious, and was nervous to find someone to cut my hair, after a few bad experiences.

KJ was so friendly and easy to talk to, it was truly like talking to a friend!

As someone who suffers from anxiety, she made this such a great and comfortable experience for me! She also gave the best head massage while washing my hair!! I could have sat there for an hour!

A good friend recommended her, and they had the best things to say about her, so I decided to make an appt!

They offer so much more than just esthetics too (barber + hair salon, sugaring, and more), which makes it a one-stop self-care haven. Bonus points for being a super short drive from my house 🚗💨

And Ruthie—my main esthetician—is AMAZING. I had an awesome experience here, so much so that I already booked my next appointment. The shop was warm and welcoming, clean and organized. The vibe was super chill but also on task. Katie cut my hair and did a fantastic job. I’m moving through the stages of my grey hair coming in, and growing into a new style and she asked all the right questions, paid close attention to my personal style and checked in with my specifics frequently. She also had awesome recommendations for how to make this style work for me as it finds its new form. She helped me find new shampoo and conditioner and heard me when I described the challenges I’ve had with previous styles, products and my hair type. Katie saved the day!

I had a bad experience before coming to Katie, who helped me walk out with a super cute cut/color. I had asked for a shaggy bob with curtain bangs, in a red/blonde shade. Unfortunately, I'd ended up with a badly uneven sorta-bob, micro bangs, unblended layers, a lot of weight at the bottom, and splotchy balayage. 😭

Katie worked a lot of magic and set me up with a near-replica of the inspo pic I'd been going for initially. She did the impossible and salvaged my too-short bangs, plus showed me how to style them until they grow back fully. I love the shaggy bob she gave me and the super-dimensional color is my favorite I've ever had!

I can't recommend this salon and specifically Katie enough! Great cut/color and such a kind person to top it off. 10/10 will be back 😁...more

The attention to detail in my face and design was immaculate.

Got my hair cut here for the first time. I found the shop through the app “Everywhere Is Queer” and they are amazing! Reasonable price and incredibly talented at what they do. I have been cutting my own hair for the last two years because I have short hair and every time I’ve gone to my usual salon in the past it has always come out more feminine than I wanted. Gabby was incredibly friendly and made me feel comfortable right away. I am someone that gets anxious in new environments very easily, but immediately felt comfortable at the studio. Recently found this salon and wow! Kamryn did my hair and she is so talented. She was able to match my hair color perfectly even though it was my first time seeing her. I decided I wanted bangs, and I came back a few days later to have a few things adjusted (I changed my mind and wanted more texture in the bangs) and they were able to get me in the same day. She made the adjustments in a few minutes and now they are perfect!

Every person I spoke with was kind and attentive. The salon is super cute and stylish, and just has a good vibe.

Okay this review is going to be a bit lengthy and honestly words aren't quite enough to express how thankful I am for the entire Untamed family but I am going to try.

Not only is the entire team at Untamed extremely talented and professional, but they also go above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable. I especially want to mention Gabby and her incredible patience and skill when it came to cutting my little brother's hair. His autism can make it challenging for him to sit still, but Gabby took the time to make him feel at ease for the entire appointment. Additonally after my sister's surgery, Gabby went above and beyond to make sure she felt confident with her newly shaved head. She found the time to stay late on her day off to provide the perfect cut and support, which meant the world to us.

Now I can't go without mentioning the incredible work of Ruthie, who managed to clear up my skin with practically one visit. Her advice has been invaluable in helping me maintain clear, healthy skin ever since.

And then there's Katie - I've been going to her for the past six years, from the days of dying my hair in her bathroom to now watching her grow into a successful salon owner. Her dedication and passion for her craft are truly inspiring, and it's been amazing to see her journey from beauty school to owning her own salon. I couldn't be more proud to call her both my stylist and one of my closest friends.

Got my hair done by Gabby (who is a gem of a person). She had told me that most of my hair was damaged/dead but was willing to work with my vision despite that. We talked the whole time, the entire appointment was a freaking blast. My review can’t even sum up how euphoric it was to walk into an all inclusive salon as a young queer person. Untamed is the absolute cutest, vibey, salon I’ve ever been to! Such a fun place to go to everyone is so welcoming and friendly! Kamryn has been my go to stylist for years now for getting my hair colored and styled! she’s great at coming up with fun ideas for raves or concerts or whatever I’m feeling! She’s great at educating me on after care, or any other questions I’ve had about the process, she always goes above and beyond. Such a great experience! I recommend booking with her she never disappoints !

I’ve also been going to Ruthie for my skin care needs for quite some time. I never knew all the things that I could remedy with the right treatment and products. Ruthies fantastic ! Results are guaranteed! Another super educational process! Super calming experience! I also recommend!

Katie has also given me one of my favorite haircuts of all time ! shes a super sweet, and talented individual!

Absolutely in love with this place! I've had some awful haircuts in my time, so with hair that is long, curly, and thick, haircuts are usually stressful occasions. Gabby's intense attention to detail and borderline hilarious focus allowed me to sit back and relax. My first time experiencing a salon that had a luxurious and fancy ambience without feeling like I needed to keep my back straight and my pinky up elevated the already amazing quality of service. The world must know how amazing this place is! From the moment you walk in the door, there's a warm and welcoming presence that gives you a relaxed sigh of "ahh I'm safe and relaxed". Ruthie's extensive, intentional, personal attention to making my skin happy leaves me feeling confident, competent, and cared for. As someone who has never cared about my skin, my friends and family are amazed at how much Ruthie has taught me and the results I've gotten under her care.

In the same breath, I must rave about Gabby and Katie. To call it a "haircut" doesn't do their services justice. It's an EXPERIENCE! It feels like every hair on my head - from face to neck and everything in between - is given specific attention. And that hot towel...I could honestly spend all day with these women who are truly skilled in their craft. I'm more than okay with making the drive from West Seattle to see them for a fresh cut and some TLC....more
